Marketplace policies
SanthaiApp is a hyperlocal marketplace that connects you with independent local shops, delivery partners, drivers, service providers and employers near you. Sellers sell their own goods and are the seller of record; SanthaiApp provides the platform and is not a party to the sale.
Seller standards
Sellers must list only goods and services they are allowed to sell, describe them accurately with clear photos, show the price including any MRP, and state delivery charges, delivery area and their cancellation, return and refund terms. Sellers must keep the licences and registrations their trade needs, issue invoices where the law requires, and deliver what was ordered or tell the customer promptly if they cannot.
Prohibited and restricted items
Do not list or order illegal goods, weapons, narcotics, counterfeit or stolen goods, prescription medicines without a valid prescription, or goods that need a licence the seller does not hold. Age-restricted goods may be sold only where the law allows and to customers of the required age. We may remove listings that break this policy.
Fireworks
Fireworks: sold only by licensed sellers where the fireworks department is open; subject to local laws and festival-time rules; no delivery where prohibited. Sellers must hold a valid licence for the fireworks they sell (for example a PESO or local explosives licence) and follow storage, packing and transport rules. Court orders, state and district orders and festival-time rules, such as permitted hours, may limit sale, delivery or use in your area. Fireworks must never be sent through ride, parcel or goods-vehicle bookings.
Payments
Customers pay the seller directly by cash on delivery, UPI paid to the seller, or at the shop. SanthaiApp does not hold money for orders and cannot reverse a payment made to a seller. Pay only the amount shown for your order and check the payee name before paying by UPI. Never share an OTP or UPI PIN to receive money.
Delivery partners and drivers
Delivery partners and ride or goods-vehicle drivers are independent providers. They must hold a valid driving licence, vehicle papers and any required permits, behave respectfully, and keep customer details private. Report unsafe driving, misconduct or a lost item through the app or our Grievance Officer.
Reviews and ratings
Reviews must describe a genuine experience. Sellers may not offer rewards for positive reviews, post reviews of their own shop, or pressure customers to change a review. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, off-topic or contain personal information, and we label verified purchases where we can.
Feed posts and community content
Posts, photos and comments must be lawful and respectful. Spam, misleading offers, hate, harassment, sexual content, violence, and other people's private details are not allowed. Repeated or serious violations can lead to removal of content and suspension of the account.
Workforce job posts
Employers must post real jobs with honest pay, location and working conditions, and must not ask job seekers for money. SanthaiApp does not guarantee employment and charges job seekers no fee unless clearly stated. Report suspicious posts so we can review and remove them.
Reporting and takedown
Use the report option on a listing, review, post or profile, or write to our Grievance Officer with a link and a short explanation. We review reports, may remove or restrict content, and inform the person who reported it. Lawful orders from courts or government agencies are acted on within the times required by law. Content showing a person in a sexual or intimate way without consent is removed within 24 hours of a complaint.
