Keep in mind
Keep the seller, catalogue date, exact product, selling unit and final quotation together. A downloaded PDF does not confirm current stock or reserve a price.
1. Identify the seller and the catalogue edition
Start with the business name, address, contact details and issue date. A document labelled ‘2026 price list’ may still have been revised since it was downloaded. If someone forwards a screenshot with the heading cropped out, ask for the complete original document or the shop's current catalogue link. Keep that link with your notes so you can return to the same seller.
Check that the contact details match the shop profile you intended to visit. Similar business names are common, and a filename is not proof of ownership. When a seller sends an updated edition, use that edition for the entire comparison rather than combining an old price page with a new discount page.
2. Understand what each price buys
Separate the product name, brand or manufacturer, variant, selling unit, pack contents, requested quantity and rate. ‘One box’ does not tell you how many pieces it contains. A gift-box row may describe an assortment, while a nearby row may refer to an individual product. Ask about unclear abbreviations before calculating a total.
Use the product code where available. Two catalogue photos can look alike while describing different sizes or pack counts. A lower price for a smaller pack is not automatically a better offer. Compare unit costs only after establishing that the products and specifications are genuinely comparable.
- Copy the full item name and code, not just the category.
- Record the contents of one quoted unit.
- Keep quantity separate from the unit rate.
- Mark missing details as ‘ask seller’, rather than guessing.
3. Compare the amount payable, not the headline discount
Discounts are calculated against a starting price. Different starting prices can produce the same final rate even when the advertised percentages differ. The example below is fictional arithmetic for an identical product and selling unit; it is not a SanthaiApp price, offer or recommendation.
After comparing the net item rate, ask whether tax and any other applicable charges are included. Keep those charges separate until the seller explains them. Do not apply a PDF's largest discount to every row if the seller has excluded particular products or brands.
| Quotation | Listed rate | Discount | Net item rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example A | ₹1,000 | 80% | ₹200 |
| Example B | ₹500 | 60% | ₹200 |
4. Build a shortlist the shop can confirm
Choose a small set of clearly identified products and record the requested quantity for each. Send that list to the relevant seller with the catalogue edition you used. Ask the shop to return an itemised quotation showing availability, unit rate, quantity, taxes or charges, total and validity. Keep the seller's response and date together.
If an item is unavailable, ask for the proposed replacement's full details. A substitute can change the product effect, pack contents and total; a similar-looking package is not enough. Update your comparison only after understanding the replacement. Avoid adding extra items merely to reach a minimum offer or a discount threshold.
5. Use the catalogue as information, then check the conditions
Read the original product instructions and confirm current local restrictions before making plans. PESO's precautions and licensing references explain the safety and regulatory context; they do not validate the figures in a seller's PDF. The calculation examples in this article are editorial guidance.
On SanthaiApp, adults can explore published shops and send fireworks enquiries. A PDF download or enquiry does not place an order, take a product payment or book transport. Ask the seller about the terms of any subsequent lawful offline arrangement. For a more detailed explanation of pieces, boxes and assortments, continue to the price-list units guide below.
Common questions
Where can I find the latest Santhai crackers price list?
Open a published shop profile and check its available catalogue or price-list information. Ask that seller which edition is current. There is no single official price list covering every Santhai shop.
Does a PDF with a bigger discount mean cheaper crackers?
Not necessarily. Compare the final rate for the exact same product and pack, then include all confirmed applicable charges. A percentage without its starting price cannot establish value.
